Tammy Gallagher found herself obese with high blood pressure and high cholesterol in her mid-20s. She ultimately developed Crohn’s disease after living a very unhealthy life. Now in her late 50’s, she’s healthier than ever. She lost 78 pounds and now has healthy cholesterol levels and blood pressure.

This transformation didn’t happen overnight. Change takes time and requires a multi-tiered approach. She returned to college in her early 50s to become a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner. Wow!

This has been one of the most enlightening books I have ever read, and it has come to me at the moment I needed it most. I am at a place right now where I need to decide which way to take-the healthy way or the way that leads to illness and problems. The fact is that we really have the secret to a fuller life and we just arent using it. we are what we eat and a product of the lifestyle we lead, and we ultimately decide our own fate. Good job! This will also be a wonderful gift for friends and family.

Live Longer!

This book contains valuable information on improving your lifestyle to achieve longevity. The action steps are achievable and laid out for beginners and those more advanced (the healthy and unhealthy). It doesn't matter your current situation; this book will help everyone make healthy, long-lasting changes. We can always improve our lifestyle, and this will show you great ways to do that! A must have!

I appreciate how well-written and comprehensive this guide is on maintaining and restoring your health. Plus, the narrator’s voice is very pleasing to the ear!

 It opens up with five science-based pillars of longevity. The part that wowed me the most was gut health and how it can affect our mood, sleep, mental health and overall health and vice versa.  I love how the author focused on the gut and sleep/relaxation (which is pretty basic, yet we tend to undervalue). This audiobook is packed with research-based tips that must be incorporated into our everyday routine.  It is indeed an excellent guide to a healthy and happy life that must be a part of your family library.

Timeless Audiobook!

This audiobook is a great opportunity! The author covers various topics that will effect our personal aging process. After listening to this audiobook, I can implement what've I've learned now at my young age to make my aging process easier. Very grateful for this book

I've struggled with fatty liver and leaky gut for many years. I'm grateful for this book because its a reminder to me on how to manage these chronic health issues and alleviate so much of the discomfort I've had to live with. Really encouraged by Tammy's story!

Life till 100+

We always wish to live for as long as possible, and up to 100 is clearly a bonus, but why do some people live to that age and not others? Is there some science to it? This book got me to reflect on my lifestyle and choices with regard to what enablers can be pulled for a better life.

The authors does a stellar job of highlighting what steps one can take to achieve longevity and higher quality of life. I particularly liked how the author called out cosmetic products and surgery, which some use as ways to achieve anti-ageing but they call out that there are better ways to achieve longevity and a better lifestyle. So through their five pillars of a longer life - nutrition, exercise, gut health, sleep and stress management, they provide a comprehensive guide which can help to obtain optimal life and longevity.

It may sound like common sense, but the approach here, which includes aspects of meditation & relaxation, seems to be a hybrid and effective solution which everyone needs to be aware of. Great listen and very recommended.

The secret to aging in a healthy way

We all know what is good for us and what is not, deep down when we eat unhealthy foods and live a sedentary lifestyle, we know we are not doing ourselves any favours. In this book, Tammy Gallagher does a brilliant job of outlining four key pillars we need to work on in order to get healthier today and stay healthy long-term. What I love about this book is the fact that she provides a step -by-step, easy-to-follow guide for anyone to get started, no matter where you are in your journey to a healthier lifestyle. I also appreciated Tammy's candor in sharing her own story and the challenges she faced and how she overcame them.

Very detailed!

A fantastic and insightful book, which surprised me in just how detailed it was. The part in particular about gut health and the deep knowledge on foods and it’s affects on the bowels was really fantastic. Would highly recommend.
