Summary

Ever wonder what happened to the Isekai’d gamer who found himself incarnated into the overweight body of a LitRPG farmer, only to spit in the face of destiny and earn more money and experience than anyone ever dreamed possible? Fairytales would have you believe he lived happily ever after, but life doesn’t always match up to fairytale endings.

Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer turned clerical error, has now become a thorn in the vindictive Northern Regent’s side. To make matters worse, he has a giant stuck in his well, and the adventurers’ guilds are pounding on his door for the chance to kill it (which is more than a little annoying, as all Arnold wants to do is focus on taking his trap method wide while he builds a farm to give down-on-their-luck farmers like him a chance).

However, there is “one” little problem with his plan: changing the world isn’t easy, and Arnold needs an entire industry that doesn’t currently exist.

And resource management is hard.

And trying to find good employees is difficult.

And Blackwood doesn’t have the infrastructure to support all these people (even if he does).

And the regent is out for blood and trying to ruin him.

And no matter what he tries, the giant won’t die.

And for some reason, Ranic wants him to find a goal that gives his life meaning.

So let’s see how well his happily ever after really goes…

If you loved the first, You'll love this one

Really enjoyed this one as the follow on from the first story. I hope there is more in the works.

as good as the first

I discovered the first with scepticism as the genre is over done.
This continues to amuse, (and have a scale of how the hero is getting stronger but isn't an over powered protagonist from pretty much any TV series from recent times) and prove I was wrong about the genre.
I look forward to seeing the new titles this author produces

A great sequel!

Kerei and Baldree are possibly my new favourite author narrator combination. Didn't want it to end and I can't wait for book 3.

A fantastic follow from the first book

This was a brilliant book with great writing, a good plot and lots of humour. I recommend to anybody reading that they listen to the first book and then this one. I can't wait to see how Arthur will progress in future books.

Enjoyed the story, Loved the narration

it was a great follow on from the first book and hit several of the plot points raised previously- admittedly some of the solutions werent great and i thought the author could have done better but it was still a great sequel (i think i just like having a chance to complain).

The narration of this was wonderful and highlights to me how some audio books are let down by their narrator while this one held let the story shine - there were even a few scenes that i think i enjoyed more specifically because of the well done voices (one in particular involved a few the few scholars for those curious - you will easily know the scene i'm talking about when you read/listen to it)

I would highly recommend this book, and suggest they get the audible narration if possible for the enhanced experiance.

He actually built it!

Loved the book and really looking forward to book 3, great amount of humour and loving the little hidden gems that keep you guessing for the rest of the story, I like how some stuff isn’t just glossed over and has good attention to detail. Top performance

Above and beyond the norm

I have found myself going down the rabbit hole with settlement building litrpg books recently and after 10 there all the same, but these books have been both a pleasure and a delight to read, and I cannot wait until the next one, only wish it could be here sooner

More please!

Loved this book. Not at all something I usually go for but it was well written, paced, likeable characters and the narration was great.

Hopefully there will be more in the series as I need to know what happens next. More please, soon as you can!
