I bought just for the some 40 splats alone. The narrator did a great job. Fully appreciate the dramatic efforts.

War of words

I really enjoyed the character Jircniv Rune Farlord El-Nix in the anime and was hoping for more details and conversations around him, and I wasn't disappointed.

Keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward to the next one 👍🏾

Splat.

Definitely one of my favourite books from the series, Although, I echo some other reviews and wish they had gone with the alternative translation of Ainz title. It's a more accurate translation, and the one that has been used suits Ainz appearance only, but it doesn't really fit him in any other way, and honestly goes against how Ainz tries to appear for the most part imo. That being said, I still love the book and will be continuing to buy the audible versions!

God tier story, god tier performance, 0/10 trans

Overlord and the performance of Chris are probably the my two favourite things in Audible, and the reason actually why i started my sub. With that said, the official translation is so bad it's beyond trash tier, to the point where i'd rather read the MTL (and i did, at one time).

Slight spoiler for 2h in:
Now without any significant spoilers, the fact that the person translating it, translated Ainz's kingdom as the Kingdom of Darkness, and not the Sorcerous kingdom is a massive disservice to the story, and shows blatant, borderline malicious disregard to the story, and for this alone, i can't recommend anything past VOL8.

You're better of reading the fan translations, as they're factually superior.
Don't support the official translation. I'm on the fence, if i'l continue to buy the audiobooks. On the one hand, the vile and disgusting official translation. On the other hand 10/10 story and performance.

King of darknes???

its like a thorne in the flesh being wriggled every time it's mentioned awful
the story is great, performance is likewise and then the translation just leaves you hollow
it is ruining setup counterintuitive to the goals of the main character and puts me off the rest of the series
I'm contemplating reading the good translation instead
