the author's audible serves as a great way for the neophyte Qigong practitioner to get his or her feet wet in the internal arts, so if you're new to this, just relax and dive in. And if you consider yourself an advanced student, regale "The Way of Qigong" as one of your reference works.

Wonderful.

I got the book to go camping and it is wonderful. Great teacher. Clear teachings and communication. Love the structure so you can build your own routine. Loved to find depth and understood concepts that did not get until then. Thank you for writing and offering this book

Though I've just started it,

Though I've just started it, I love this book. I'm grateful to the author. She mentions how qi gong helped her in her own life. That was encouraging to me. Qi gong actually works! I really like how she goes into great detail in describing how to stand - it's seemingly a simple thing, but hardly anyone spends time on exactly how to do it well. It's the foundation of qi gong. Her references to the 5 elements and all their associations (and corresponding movements) are enjoyable to read and understand.

A revelation and a pleasure

The Way of QiGong is an extremely well-written and complete history of qigong. Cohen, a China scholar and practitioner extraordinaire, characterizes qigong as "a holistic system to self-healing exercise and introspection, an ancient, evolving practice that includes healing postures, movement, self-massage, breathing strategies, and meditation."

This is fantastic, cleared the concept!

Thanks to the author for his ongoing effort to get this easy-to-do manner of handling the negativities of life. I have gone through some reviews that gave it a poor rating. They stated they didn't comprehend the idea. Well if you can get your sluggish fingers to google something you're always going to be on the out. Google it!

A Solid description about Qigong!

This is indeed pleasant to listen to, easy to heed the steps, and refreshing after learning. I enjoy it very much, especially it included the principles of Traditional Medicine, which I am familiar with. Not expected I can learn the basics of Qi Gong from audible. It becomes my morning routine.

Five Stars

When traditional Western medicine has little to offer for curing our many ills, I personally turned to Chinese healing methods. But, instead of passively undergoing acupuncture or any of the myriad other Oriental methods I was motivated to participate myself. After all, I am responsible for my condition. Why shouldn't I take charge of my own healing. Enter Master Ken Cohen's book, The Way of Qi Gong. It gives a wonderful history of Qi Gong, with it's many styles. Also his very clear instructions are easy to follow. I am determined to heal from my condition and this book will lead the way.

A very good book with plenty of stuff in it to research further except for the fact that there are no Chinese characters for terms, names of exercises.
