Summary
One boy's ability to summon demons will change the fate of an empire....
The epic conclusion to the fantasy trilogy described as "Harry Potter meets Lord of the Rings meets Pokemon".
After the thrilling cliff-hanger at the end of book two, we rejoin Fletcher and his friends in the ether, where they must undertake a mortally dangerous quest, all the while avoiding capture by enemies and facing foes more terrifying than anything they have yet encountered. But this is nothing compared to what truly lies ahead for Fletcher, as his nemesis, albino orc Khan, is on a mission to destroy Hominum and everything and everyone that Fletcher loves. Epic battles, dramatic revelations and breathtaking drama await in the third and final book in the New York Times best-selling Summoner series.

Fantastic Characters, Great Story
I have now read/listened to all four books, on this occasion I read/listened to them in order. However, if you wanted to you could read the Prequel 1st, then books 1, 2 & 3. The correct order is The Novice, The Inquisitions, The Battlemage then the prequel, The Outcast. Although you can read the Outcast 1st, its written to be read last, the reason i think is that although it explains lots, there is also lots of twists, which you may not get if you read it 1st.
Now, the books, fantastic characters, super story line and great twists. I read/listened to all four books in four weeks. I found the story line to be a mix of Harry Potter, meets Lord of the Rings, meets Game of Thrones.
The writer has spent a lot of time, making sure that the story flows. This along with the twists and fantastic characters, makes them a must read.

Solid if not great conclusion
I felt it was the weakest of the books. Some of the antagonists were dealt with in a paragraph or so with no great satisfying payoff and it felt rushed to end. It feels like there should be a book 4 on some levels though it is labelled as a trilogy. Disappointing after the first two great books. Solid job by voice actor.

Ok Series
I thought I’d listen to the complete trilogy before posting a review. This series is like a mix up of Pokemon, Harry Potter and the Demon Cycle series with a few original ideas thrown in. I genuinely thought the first book was the best but the writing quality slipped as the series went on. I personally found myself losing concentration by the end as I found the last third of the story a little repetitive. I reckon the target audience is young teen but good for adults who are looking to pass some time with an easy to follow story.
