Summary

Beyond the third floor!

When Morgan got hit by a car and died on Earth, he never imagined that he would be chosen by a god, little g, to be taken to another planet - a World governed by game-like rules. Especially since said god liked to have people call him the Great Lord, and had basically created an entire World to run experiments in. Nor could Morgan have ever imagined that he would find one thing that he had never really had on Earth: a real family.

It's been years since Morgan started his second chance at life on that world, and both he and his friends have achieved great power as part of a Great Raid: a group of people bent on climbing beyond the third floor of the Tower of Power, to the floors from which no one has ever before returned.

They had lost friends in their climb, but who remain share the same drive to be the first to pass the Great Lord's test. But there are dangers in the Tower beyond what they could even imagine...and not all of them even belong there.

Their raid group will need both luck and cunning if they are to survive all that the Tower can throw at them. But, in the end, only one thing is certain - no matter what, all of them will need to pay the Tower's price.

Fantastic series

The culmination of these books, leads the reader to guess outcomes, though not all are clear cut.

Character generation is great and with my sense of humour made the books all the better to listen to and read.

congratulations to Ivan and Ryan on a great series and also props to the narrator for providing the perfect cadence and atmosphere which allowed the audio book to shine.

Disappointed, borrowed ideas?

I am of the impression that the story has perhaps lost its momentum and seems to be a bit stretched in places as if the author is not quite sure of the direction or final destination of the story?
The whole idea of an agent of the enemy being able to "split or break off a piece of its soul and embed into an unsuspecting good character" smacks of borrowing from Harry Potter and the horcrux scenario. I was very disappointed at this point and this is where the author lost my interest. This idea has been done already so we already get a feel of how its going to play out in general terms.
Can it be fixed?
Perhaps, but to do so I think the author needs to cut off this "horcrux " path quickly in the next book and come up with something original.
This is just my honest impression & opinion and others may well disagree , that's OK.
