Summary

The world teeters on the brink of destruction.

The people who should be saving the Earth ignore Jason Asano's warnings and choose to loot the house as it burns down around them. He lacks the strength to save the world himself, but resolves to do it anyway, impossible be damned.

The impossible, in this case, means seizing a power that no mortal should touch. It's a choice from which there is no turning back, and marks Jason's first step into a wider cosmos that he is not yet ready to face.

Holding the fate of two worlds in his hands, Jason must decide for himself what home truly means.

Lazy, looping, and doesn't go anywhere.

Short. Repeats the same descriptions and cruxes over and over. It's also the shortest book of the series and this book could easily be half as long again if the author just stayed on point and only explained whatever the single time. I also have a serious issue with the direction (or lack of) the series has been suffering with in the last two books. Sure, the character has something he's meant to be chasing but it's barely heading to it or suddenly rushed. This one has been a bit of a joke.

Honestly, it feels like the author is artificially extending the life of the series to its detriment.

Oh my God I'm so excited! I've been waiting for this book for months and months. I hope they get back to the other planet inthis one. I missed the gang from the other world. This is my favorite book series ever

Always look forward to these

The narrator always adds to this series for me. Our boy goes through a lot, some heart wrenching moments in this one.

Another amazing book in the series!

Such an amazing series! and there's so much still to come! I would heavily suggest joining his Patreon and reading ahead, plus you can help him out so he can keep making great content! Heath Miller's narration really shines in this series. I don't know how they do it, but keep up the amazing work Shirt and Heath!

Amazing Series. Can't wait for the 7th 😑

This series is one of my TOP 3 along with Patrick Rothfuss's Name of the Wind series and Brandon Sandersons Cosmere series. Hope it doesnt take over 10 years like Rothfuss's Doors of Stone but I did go through this series non stop and now coming to the end of this one I can't wait for the 7th.

I'm not even waiting

I'm not waiting for the next one to be on audible and I love this series. Best isekai book that does not have harem elements.

disappointed, but still hopeful.

I haven't even started the book, but I am disappointed. the first book was amazing, and I loved it so much. it was nearly 30 hours long. That was what I loved about it, it took it's time, like the real world does, to build and explore a world and a person. The length of the books has decreased to the point we could almost read this one, and the previous one in the time the first book was read. and, the book before this one had way more anti government political bs than the first did. almost through the entire thing. I understand having some and being quirky, but Jason hasnt grown. hasn't changed. It comes across as a supper powered whinny teenager. I just wish it went back to what the first one was like, long, detailed, and about fighting monsters and raising his social standings while still trying to be humane and not just a blood thirsty killer. I will update and add once I have finished it.
