Summary

Who says a troll can’t be the hero?

Chad Johnson built his following by being a troll. Online games, social media, you name it—he's there with a witty comeback. But when he goes too far during a televised stream, he's handed a punishment unlike any other.

Instead of the usual ban or suspension, Chad's sentenced to 30 days of full immersion therapy in Isle of Mythos—a world of epic fantasy filled with dungeons and mythical creatures. The twist? He's forced to embody a forest troll, one of the most despised races in Mythos.

At least the punishment fits the crime.

Now, Chad's on a quest, slaying monsters and aiding his troll tribe. It's different, but not necessarily in a bad way, especially with a mischievous little imp as his sidekick. For the first time in his life, Chad's found something more than just trolling—he's found purpose.

Rehabilitation? Call it what you want, but Chad's all in. Who knows? Maybe this troll is a hero.

This is a great introduction in to litrpg genre

I wont say it's the best book I have ever read as it would be a lie but it is a good book it keeped me entertained from the start and it shows some true potential to be a great series. i believe the best description of the book would be as a gateway book in to the litrpg world of books.

Very entertaining LitRPG

First I would say this isn't for everyone but if you have ever played a MMO, RPG, Dungeons & Dragon or even read a Choose Your Own Adventure (you make a decision and go to x page), love stats and game mechanics or compelling fantasy stories I would highly recommend this.

It's a interesting idea to try and rehabilitate a troll who has undesirable negative emotionational episodes against other people when things aren't going their way and they are probably losing, especially when they believe someone else is to blame and immersing then in a fully VR game as a in game Troll (the most hated in game race).

The story was fun and kept me entertained throughout. There was some very interesting game mechanics that I liked and I honestly cared about all the main characters. The narrator was spot on. I'm hoping there is a sequel or this because a trilogy.

Stands out

A very good audiobook, the narration is good, the author managed to get you emotionally involved, was wishing for an extra couple of hours but i can understand why it ended where it did. Without spoilers, prepare to troll smash.

A great book

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the concept is new, gaming as a punishment, sign me up. The main character isn't as bad as all that, he learns as he goes. building up to his punishment is really good, the back story tells you just enough. you do find out more as time goes by.

The narration is spot on, faultless. It does make the story more enjoyable.

Sentenced to Troll

I enjoyed this gamer book of redemption.I've never played a game, but it was not hard to keep up with.Chad/Chod is a bad boy gamer who is put in a 30 day immersment into a new game as punishment. He has to live life as one of the realms most hated characters. At least he gets to pick the type of troll he becomes. Eric Martin is a fine narrator.I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.
