About this listen

A world in ruins. A bleak future. A last chance at salvation.

The world of Awaken Online has been transformed. Gloria Bastion's attempt to destroy the game world failed, yet she unleashed a power that has brought the former avatars forward in time. And accompanying them are their cities and armies. Creatures, warriors, and mages from a time when the game world was fresh and new...but also more savage and unrelenting.

Our heroes now face a bleak situation. They have nowhere to go, their cities and people are under attack, and they face an army of angry travelers—the very same people who came to watch the end of the game world. Needless to say, things are looking bad....

That is, until a new character emerges. Arcadia Landrey—the earth avatar. Her account has just been unfrozen, and with that comes an opportunity. One she poses to none other than Jason.

Their future might look dire.

But perhaps redemption can be found in the past....

I woke up from my slumber in the last part

I was slumbering 80% of the book. And Hailey was really annoying to be honest. But let me tell you. In the beginning of the end i was crying and laughing all the time like a child. I had such a big smile on me while tears ran down my cheeks.

And iam still very angry at you Travis, You built up an ending and you did not deliver it.

You will have to figure out that by yourself. But i think you know what i mean.

Another Great Addition!

If you’ve read the others in this series then it’s another banger. I really feel like we’re on the verge of this story coming to an end but the way it is being built makes me excited to see it’s conclusion! Can’t wait for the next one

another enjoyable installment looking forward to more.
Alex's arc is starting to bloom good to see some development there and loving how Finn and the other side story characters are shaping the now big characters in the main storyline.

A great set up book for what's to come!

It was abit of a wait, but it's finally here! I'm super hyped for the next instalments to come out already!

The book although taking place in the game for most of the time didn't progress any really from the last books cliff hanger (with no spoliers), It was about unexpected although that doesn't mean nothing happened or it was boring in my opinion! It was more of a lead up/set up and introduction to new characters, plot lines and explanations of previous goings ons ect to follow onto the next book to continue the story, I really enjoyed how it progressed and hearing all the characters again, especially my favourite edge lord MC lol - The narration was on point as usual! - can't wait to see how the next saga of the journey continues!

great story, issues with characters

loved the book and story, but had a bit of an issue with Katie, the most supremely unlikable character for like 95% of the book, and this secret keeping was a bit of a crutch. still, the story is moving and eagerly waiting for what comes next!

Another epic book

When's the next book?! Ahhh, cliff hangers. Jason is how I would act if I was playing this game, total and utter mayhem!! BUT LOOT?!! haha, I love it. More, more, more, please. Another amazing book setting up what I hope will be the biggest and best book to come! I'll be sad if and when the books are over, but I'm desperate to know if my theory is right. So many questions, I can't wait for answers.

Enjoyable - fans of the series won't be disappoint

A clever way to introduce the Earth Avatar without having to have another split off series. By combining the intro of new characters with the main thread it's helped keep the pacing going for the series as a whole.

Admittedly the complexity of time travel in the game system is something that I didnt even try to think about too much. Just strap in and enjoy the ride.

One of the weakest in the series.

as said, i struggled to keep paying attention to the story.
alot of tiring pickering. time travelling in general is rather tiresome plot for me. doesent help that im not huge fan of the reader.
